Leaf Lace Scarf

This is a quick and easy lace scarf that works with many different yarns.

Basic directions:

Yarn:    You can use anything!
Gauge: Doesn’t matter. Match your yarn to your needles. Quantity: About 300 yards

Loosely cast on 43 stitches using your favorite cast-on method.

Seed stitch border (top and bottom) Row 1: (RS) *K1, p1* end K1 Rows 2-6: Repeat
Seed stitch border (sides)
Right side rows: K1, p1, k1, p2tog, yo Marker/pattern/marker yo, p2togtbl, k1, p1, k1 Wrong side rows: (k1,p1)2x, k1 Marker/Pattern/Marker k1 (p1,k1)2x

Begin pattern

Row 7: Work border, pm, k1, *yo, k2, s11k2togpsso, k2, yo, k1* repeat until 5 stitches remain, pm, Work border

Row 8 and all even rows: Work border, p all stitches between markers, Work border Row 9: Work border, k1 * k1, yo, k1, sl1k2togpsso, k1, yo, k2* , work border
Row 11: Work border, k1* k2, yo, sl1k2togpsso, yo, k3* work border

Row 13: Work border, k2tog * k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, sl1k2togpsso* (end last repeat ssk), work border Row 15: Work border, k2tog * k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, sl1k2togpsso* (end last repeat ssk), work border Row 17: Work border, k2tog *yo, k5, yo sl1k2togpsso* (end last repeat ssk), work border

Repeat rows 7-17 to desired length, finish with rows 1-6 and bind off loosely.
