Knitted Lace Scarf Workshop 2016
Knitted Lace Scarf
Workshop
Saturday 12 March & 2 April 14h00 – 17h00, 204 Lower
Main Road, corner Rochester, Observatory. Bookings and eft need to be made by
27 February.
Min 6, max 8 participants.
Fee: R500 [includes 2 balls kid silk (baby goat/mohair:
African Expressions – Hope), pair of needles (long 4.5mm), pattern].
I have knitted a number of these scarves as gifts http://marksknittingblog.blogspot.co.za/2014_07_01_archive.html
and have been asked by a few people to run a workshop, so here it is. The
pattern looks complicated, but if you can knit plain, then you can knit the
scarf as the entire project is in plain, with a few yarn overs! The workshop will
rehearse some of the procedures which may seem a little complicated and
daunting and runs over two sessions. The second date, 3 weeks later, gives us
time to finish the body of the scarf, ready for the fringe. It also applies
pressure to commit to the project, as many unfinished knitting projects end up
in cupboards draining us of energy. So the workshop comes with some healthy
wellbeing practices too. This second session focuses on the fringe and blocking.
Choose one colour you would like to knit with. Please email
your choice by 27 February. Book via email:
